E-pics: how many do you get of them?

E-pics: how many do you get of them?

I just scheduled my e-pic shoot with my photographer and he said he'll be taking 20 pictures. Is that the 'average' amount? (This was 'included' in the package deal I got for the wedding).

Edited to say: Okay, now I feel like I'm not getting my money's worth... Does anyone have any suggestions on what I should do?

We spent over 2 hrs with the photographer, and we got the disk with 285 pictures on it, and we can print the pictures ourselves. I liked it better this way. We have all 285 pictures to work with.

we haven't found a photographer yet and FH is deployed so if we do get them taken yet anyway. i honestly don't think we will be getting them done although i would like to since he is deployed there is no way unless i get crative with photo shop and put us together but i think thats just going to look un natural and i don't want that headache

We spent over 2 hrs with the photographer, and we got the disk with 285 pictures on it, and we can print the pictures ourselves. I liked it better this way. We have all 285 pictures to work with.

Was the engagement shoot an extra cost? If not, do you mind telling me how much you spent on your package? Thanks!!

We got about 300 pictures from our Engagement shoot at Robert Moses...it was included in our package.

I got about 40-50 pictures from my e-shoot. i knew this was less than what most people got, but i was ok with it. i just wanted a couple of nice shots of the 2 of us.

I don't think you need too many pictures. I am having my e-shoot later this summer and I don't think my photog will be taking any crazy number of shots but i am sure she will get a handful of great ones and I am happy with that!

I sent you FM on who it is - I don't think this is a 'bad' thing so I don't want the photographer to get upset and think I'm bad mouthing him.

We got 120 pictures in the one hour shoot. I think you should re-negotiate the number of pictures.

How many are they planning on taking at the wedding? My photographer went crazy and we have 2100 proofs. I love it!!

I know this sounds stupid, but what if I annoy him and then he doesn't take good pictures at my wedding...

I got about 150 proofs back and that was more than enough for me, I ended up loving about 30 of them which I scanned in and ordered what I wanted from Ofoto b/c that was cheaper than the photographer

My photographer was Patken and I got 16 engagement shots. I loved all them. It was included in my package and they said the purpose of them was to get use to getting posed by the photographer.

If you annoy him and he doesn't take good pictures at your wedding, then he is not a professional photographer, imo. I don't think professionals will be spiteful if they are putting there names on something and want more business. I wouldn't worry about it. I would just ask if they are willing to take more than 'average'.
