Ok my epics are on Sunday. I was in bloomies and saw this short jessica mcclintock party dress - bright yellow with blue swirls. I tried it on and it had this odd fantasy feeling so I bought it for $225. it is something I would never normally wear. Is it worth it for some 'fantasy' e-pics or should I return?
UPDATED ---- Here is a pik but mine is yellow instead of green and swirls (as opposed to flowers) are blue. They did not have pink and green in my size. I think it may also flair a bit higher but this is the closest I can find online.
well is it something you feel comfortable with? I personally wouldn't leave my comfort zone for photos that I'll be looking at for many years to come. But if you feel comfortable then go for it!

I love it! But I think you should bring a more 'everyday' outfit too. Because you don't want all your pics to look dated down the line, ya know? But I'd def want some pics in the dress!

maybe i will bring this for an outfit change if my photog is ok with it. i see what you are saying.

I don't think your photographer would mind if you changed outfits... I mean you are paying good money for the pictures. It would be fun to have a more dressy picture and and then an everyday pic

It is such a cute dress. I really like! Although if it is something that you would never normally wear you might want to reconsider wearing it for your e-pics. I feel like e-pic should capture you and FH as you are normally but that is just my opinion.

Since you are saying this dress is out of your comfort zone, maybe you should go to the shoot in something you would normally wear and then change into this dress. Will your FH be changing as well?
I think it also depends on what kind of pictures you want? They dress is really fun and flirty... Where are you taking pictures?'
As a side note on fun pictures...my friends for their engagement shoot did a 20's theme. They went to a billiard room, she was a flapper girl and he a mobster. They have some great pictures that are fun and totally different.
So I really think its up to you and what you want for your pictures.

We are taking our photos in LIC. 20s theme sounds awesome. I think I am leaning towards wearing this for at least a few piks (FH promised to dress to it b/c he actually picked it out). I love costumes and even though it may not be my everyday - this may make the photos extra special.
