E-pics in the winter... HELP!

Hi girls,
Most of you who are doing pro-engagement photos and are getting married in 09 have already taken your e-pics. FH and I are on the slow train to the wedding so we didn't take ours yet (amongst many other things that haven't been done yet ). I have looked at many e-pics and almost 100% of them are taken in the summer, spring or fall.....NOONE TAKES THEM IN THE WINTER! We, on the other hand, are going to dive into the unknown.... I would love some help from you girls! Can you spill some of your creative juices on me and share some ideas where we can go and do for photos? I would appreciate all your input!

You could do that with your November date....

Ohh..the tree usually doesnt go up till the 1st week in dec though.

I already spoke with my photographer about Rockefeller because I LOVE going to the Christmas tree and there are so many nice Christmas decorations set up. He told me it CAN be done, but it could get very crowded and that MAY be a problem. Another issue with that scenario would be that the pics would need to be taken around 3pm because after dusk (which begins at 5pm in the winter) you need more lighting set up to take nice pics.

Open to BOTH!!! The phog also suggested vanderbilt mansion as well as westbury gardens. Im looking into that right now

i love christmas/winter in the city. i love snow pictures!!! i love ice skating and sweaters and scarfs and boots and hot chocolate and WINTER haha sooo i feel like you could do a lot.

The mansion is amazing but there is a pretty large fee I think in order to take pictures there!

Im doing mine in the beginning of November... can you squeeze in something like that? We are going all over the city at different locations... It will be a lil chilly for some of my outfts but Im sucking it up for the pictures! Or does it have to be Dec?

Me too! I'm versatile because I'm a thoroughbred New Yorker, but FH is a Floridian!!! Aaaaarghh! I love all the seasons and look forward to each and every one of them every year. I love my sweaters and boots, winter coats and fall jackets, summer tees and shorts! He, on the other hand..... prefers all year round with a little sprinkle of coats and scarves here and there.

Girl, I would suck it up too if it came to looking cute, lol. But December is more or less it. Then the next option would be any time before the wedding prior to April 4th. The only problem is there really isn't anything special going on and the weather isn't anything to brag about either.
