How far in advance are you supposed to take engagement pictures? I'm supposed to take them in a week and a half and I'm incredibly sick. I want to use the pictures for the save the dates...would it be bad to move them to April? That would be 9 months before my wedding.

I think that's fine...We sent ours out in early July (7 months before).

I also think it is fine, waiting for my save the dated to arrive and my wedding is in June (less than 8 months). Feel better.

I'm a little after you and we're waiting until April to do ours. I know someone who did an e shoot in Sept and only sent out save the dates last week for their wedding in Jan 2013!

I sent ours about 9 months before our wedding. I feel that a good time to send save the dates would be a year - 6 months in advance. Just my personal opinion and everyone has different circumstances!

We just did ours and we have 7 months to go! But we aren't using them for the save the dates.

I think you're totally fine waiting until April. The only reason I'm taking mine now is because I have my heart set on Fall photos and I think next fall is cutting it too close to send out STDs. Feel better!
