E-Pictures

I just got off the phone with my photographer and for engagement photos he will do them for $500 - doesnt that seem like alot of money? he said that he will get between 50-300 prints for us - that we have to print them ourselves... i would like ANY feedback on this..... i really want them but it was a nightmare enough to talk about spending $500 on repainting the apartment, not so sure FH will entertain the idea of e-pix costing that much and then paying to print them ourselves....

hmmm...seems like a lot since a lot of photogs throw the engagement shoot in with the package...

honestly that sounds like a lot esp since some got epics as part of their phot package and then you need to print them???? not sure worth it

That seems like a lot. Our photographer threw them in w/ our package (Glenmar). We got about 150 proofs and got to keep them all. If we wanted more we could order (and pay extra for them) through the photographer. I scanned them all in though and ordered them from kodakgallery.

Most photographers throw them in and they do all the work for you like print them out... Hmmm

yea - just mentioned it to FH - hes doesnt see the need in EPics that cost that much - i think we got a steal on our photo package - maybe thats why they were not thrown in...

I don't know the going rate for this being that it was thrown into our package.. but you are right.. it does seem a bit pricey for getting no pictures printed, etc....

You know you could always go to a studio or even like SEARS or something and get professional pics...... for a LOT LESS... of course they won't pose you like these photographers will... but it does seem like an 'EXTRA EXPENSE' when it's not part of the package.

i did not even think about that - what a great idea! this way i can get my E-pictures AND maybe get him to repaint the apartment I LOVE YOU GIRLS!!!!

I am using GM too and that is what he want to charge me also. I found it to be pricey but that is the going rate with alot of other photographers. I think it should be included with the package but I guess that is how it works. I do not know if you would entertain this idea but sometimes on craigslist their are photographers who want to build their portofolio and who would do an engagement shoot for free. That is what I am going to do. hth

That does seem like a lot! My e-pics were included in my package but the b-pics weren't and he is doing them for $300

I agree with all the other girls that its too much and i asked my photog. and he threw it in for free.

Def. agree that that is too much, especially since you are paying him for your wedding pictures, he should give you more of a deal than that!! I would let him know that a LOT of the girls are here are saying they should be free...
