E-Ring

E-Ring

Well, I have only been engaged a few days, so since this is all new to me, maybe you guys can tell me what you do.

Whenever I wash my hands, I take my off and put it in my mouth. I feel like everyone is looking at me like I am crazy or something, with a diamond hanging out of my mouth. Am I the only nut out there?

Re: E-Ring

My friend does that. LOL She doesn't want to wash her hands with it on and doesn't want to put it down. I don't see a problem with it.

I do the same thing!!!!!!!! Yay!!! I thought I was the only one who did that!!!!
I don't always feel like getting my ring wet but I don't want to put it on the sink and have it go down the drain or forget to put it back on, so I just put it in my mouth w/ the diamond sticking out. I always feel silly doing it but I think it's the best way to keep it safe when u take it off.
Congrats on your engagement!!!!!!!

Whatever you are comfortable with. I keep mine on.

Congratulations on getting engaged!

I keep my on, I never really thought it was a big deal. Don't know about putting in your mouth though, it's kinda like putting your hands in your mouth...I'm not trying to be rude, just saying...I'm kind of a germaphobe though.

Do whatever you feel comfortable with.
I just keep it on, unless I am doing something major like washing dishes.

Re: E-Ring

haha congrats! i leave mine on where i know it's secure. i know personally, if i left it on the sink counter or in my mouth, one day it'll end up down the sink drain! then again, im just a klutz

You'll get used to it...I used to be like that, now I wear it all the time.

Re: E-Ring

I used to take my ring off when I washed my hands or put on lotion. I never take it off now, just to shower. I'm just careful not to get lotion on the ring itself. I'd rather it be safe on my finger than for me to accidentally drop it or lose it - but I'm prone to those things so I'd rather be safe than sorry - just me.

I always take my ring off to wash my hands and people do look at me like you just kicked a puppy or something. It's weird.

Re: E-Ring

lol i did this for a LONG time....but now i just never take it off....i shower with it, sleep with it, etc.....the only time i ever take it off is to wash up at night only because i use a creamy face wash, and before it was insured i'd take it off at the beach... But other than that - it's always on! no u're not crazy!

LMAO I do the same thing, however, I hold the back of the band in my teeth, so the stones dont get wet. At least I'm not the only nut.

Re: E-Ring

That is so funny!!! I actually leave mine on to avoid leaving it on a sink somewhere, but I'm super careful not to let it slip off! The only time I take it off is at night when I go to bed (it goes back in its original box) and in the morning I don't put it back on until after I shower.

Re: E-Ring

I leave mine on, it's on the snug side so I don't have a problem. I take it off at night before I go to bed and not before that.

FMIL told me I should take it off when I use lotion but I don't. Is that a good/bad idea?

i used to take mine off all of the time when I first got engaged. Now, i leave it on but i still take it off when im using soap or antibacterial things.

LOL I have never heard of this and have to admit I thought it was strange but after reading all the other posts and seeing how many other girls do it I must have missed the memo! I just leave my ring on when I wash my hands
