E ring

E ring

So my E ring is a radiant cut diamond that is set in a diamond shape instead of a square shape. Then the ring splits & comes together along the back of the band. Because of this I can not get an ordinary wedding band. Should I just wear my E ring on the other hand, or do they custom make these type of oddly shpaed rings?

I WOULD JUST DO A SIMPLE BAND,,

Re: E ring

The problem with the round bands is they its gonna look separated because the diamond comes out into a point

Re: E ring

you can get a custom band, but are you always going to wear your e-ring? if not the custom band might look funny on it's own.

I was thinking of having 2 weddings bands, a fancier one to wear on special occasions and then an everyday one....maybe you can get a fancier one to wear on its own and a custom one to fit into the e-ring??

I chose other.

My ring is the same way, I cant wear a wedding band and the ring at the same time because it would look tacky, and hurt my finger.

What I am going to do is wear the e-ring on my left and wedding band on my right, however once in a while I will wear the e-ring alone.

My advise to you is
Wear them on two separate hands , this way you have more way more options to not be locked into a certain type band b/c you are wearing them together. FYI -This seems to be quite the trend now anyway.

I talked my DH into a cushion cut eternity wedding band since I wear that alone and ALL the time. I don't wear my E ring for everyday. When we go out, dinners, events , etc it actually feels more special when I am wearing my Radiant E ring with all the intricate work and I wouldn't want to take away from such beauty.

Custom is the way to go for odd shaped e-ring settings. You can even have the jewler solder both together so they don't shift around. Then you are limited to only wearing them as a set.
If this is not your style or you want to wear e-ring on other hand time to time, get a standard wedding band of your liking.

I picked out a very antique lacey styled wedding band. I knew it would be too delicate to wear day to day and planned only wearing it on special occasions. I had intended to purchase a plain gold band for this, but FH surprised me with two smaller eternity bands to wear w/ my e-ring.

Good luck! I'm sure whatever you choose will be beautiful!

i had the same sorta problem. i found a wedding ring that worked with my ering though that i love so i went with that (pic below). look around a bit, you may be surprised at what you find. niwaka.com has a great selection of unique shapes. if that didn't work for me i'd do custom only because i want to continue wearing my ering and it doesn't fit on my right hand.

together (sorry for the bad pic and my swollen fingers):

This isnt custom but my ering was very narrow underneath and wide at the setting...so I got a band that wasnt bent but not straight either-I know like the PP said that there are different shaped bands that you can always try and find one that you like and fits with your ring-that is of course if you are always going to wear your ering.

you do have to be careful when buying a wedding ring to fit into your ering, but there's a lot that look good on their own too. i know mine looks great by itself and many of the others i've seen look good too. then again there are other fitted wedding bands that look like they're missing something when worn alone. just try them on both ways when looking and take pictures to compare later.

Yep, thats why I said always wear your ering. I have no intention of ever not wearing my ering-thats why I got a fitted wedding band

i was able to find a band that looks good alone which is good because there are times when i don't feel comfortable wearing my ering, but wanted to be able to keep my wedding band on. my biggest fear was finding things that only looked good when paired though.

of course your ring is stunning! However the way Jen919ifer described her ring is a very odd shape intricate design that has a unique band as to how it splits. The ring shown that is paired up has more simple timeless lines and lots can work for that style.

Granted we do not c the actual photo of her ring but I get the concept of what she described.

Once you have a E ring like this you find yourself very torn on how to complement both rings that are odd shaped w/out overkill even if your going to wear both rings all the time.

I went jewelry store after Jewlery store to the point that I made myself nuts. I could not take the stress of matching or complimenting any longer.

Most Jewlers I found were steering away from keeping them looking like a 'set' esp after seeing my filagree antique setting with all the unique work.

As I said prior post it seems to be the new modern trend for Brides to keep rings separate.Only did I learn this from the industry from the countless Jewelers I encountered.(not that this matters)

I just liked the idea overall because of not being locked into a look if I chose not to wear the E ring all the time and my wedding band to still be seeming MOST important.

For me it was all about the wedding band as that is what we got married with even though my promise diamond (e ring) is quite stunning.

All relative to the Bride
