just be careful with where u go to get the shots put on....I've heard from multiple jewelers that if not done the right way, the shots can break off & leave behind the sodder marks on ur ring. I also know that sizing over & over again can be bad 'cause it thins the gold(my best friend's band just cracked underneath!). I went for a basic ring guard. I didn't want one & was so adament about not getting it....but i'm so glad i ended up getting one.. NOBODY notices it ('cause u can't see it unless i flip my hand over lol) and i can take it on & off if i ever need too! good luck!

i have shots on the inside of my rings and it was uncomfortable for the first two days but I've gotten used to it. Now I don't feel it anymore. It does help to prevent the ring from rotating. Although when it's cold outside, my finger gets small, the shots don't do much in the cold
What time of year did you have them put in? I had the ring sized in the summer, and it seemed fine for the most part, but once September hit it started spinning. My fear is that I will resize, or put shots in, and then in the summer, my ring won't fit...
That's my problem...Most of the time, my ring fits fine but in the extreme humidity it's too tight and in the bitter cold, it's really really loose.
I have that problem too, I haven't gotten the shots done either. Wanted to see how different the e-ring fits for a year. Right now I have this rubber attachment that I wear with the ring if it feels too large. I bought it for like $3 in the mall at one of those youth fashion jewelry stores, its call snuggies.
How does it work? Is it worth the $3? Are you thinking of doing shots now? I think I would rather have my ring fit 9 out of the 12 months, rather than just in the summer, (which is when it fits now)...decisions....decisions....
its this clear rubber piece that fits over the bottom part of the ring, kind of where the shots would sit.

Re: E-Ring...
I don't crack knukles but I didn't want to subtract from my ring. Instead my jewler made a custom guard that fits inside the ring.
My grandmother had the issue with the knuckles and he made her a guard that expands and contracts.
It is at the jewler right now so I cannot show you a photo but I can of mine and how it was done. My ring never moves.

Re: E-Ring...
Why dont you ask the jeweler for a ring guard. I had that on one of my rings and it was fine...or you can get it resized by 1/4
