E-Ring at the beach?

E-Ring at the beach?

FH and I are going to Ft. Lauderdale and I was wondering do people wear their rings at the beach/pool? Would you be ok leaving in hotel room vs. wearing it whole time or since its only 3 days just leave at home?

I always wear my rings, but my rings are pretty snug. If you don't feel comfortable wearing them at the beach, you could always leave them in the safe. I'd rather leave them in the safe than not bring them at all.

I wore mine to the beach for a company picnic two days after I got it, before it was insured. I very rarely take it off.

I would just leave it at home, or your parents house why risk losing it?

My ring was insured before Dh put it on my hand. When we went away, I wore it. I also work in a very dangerous neighborhood with a lot of crime and I wear it every day. If it is insured, you should be ok.

When I went on my honeymoon, I wore my e-ring and wedding band at the beach. I went snorkeling and the fish are attracted to the shine from the sun. Not a good thing when a baracuda is following you because it thinks you're a shiny fish....Be careful!!!

I'd wear my rings at the beach. I remove them only for showering and sleeping. I never had any problems.

I hardly ever take my ring off, i love wearing it, but i just wasn't sure how sand and salt water and sunscreen adn all that stuff work with it...I'll just leave it on

My FH proposed at a beach resort. Of course I didn't want to take it off for anything, but I did leave mine in the safe when we went to the beach.

Just the thought of loosing it in the ocean or a pool... I couldn't ....

If I just went to lay out I wore it but not if I intended to go in the water.

I left mine in the safe in our room.

I haven't had it either, but I'm back and forth on this issue. I am nervous to wear it in the ocean, but not so much if I was just going to lay out.

My advice is wear them to the beach (nevermind the sun, sand, saltwater or sunblock) When you get back, take it to your jeweler to have it professionally steamed. Or, bring your ring cleaner with you and clean it before you go out at night after you wore it to the beach. You should be fine.

Leave it at home- or you could get replicas ~ a friend of mine did that- she got them from fantasy jewlerybox.com

if it is gold do not wear it in a cholrine pool. the chemicals damage gold. i wouldnt wear it IMO. whatever the case- insured or not, i wouldnt want to lose it b/c of the sentimental value; the ocean is just too vast of a chance for me to lose it in.

I got engaged in Punta Cana and didnt know anything about jewlery. While in the pool I scraped the bottom of my platinum band on the concrete stairs of the pool and scuffed it So my vote is dont bring it!

I only take my ring off to shower and give the babies a bath, so I would say as long as it fits well, keep it on!
