I am so upset...I was looking at my e-ring the other day and I noticed there are 2 'slash-mark' looking gashes when you look at one of my sidestones...it is on the side of the sidestone, so no one else would notice it, but I am upset about it!
Has this happened to anyone else? I thought diamonds were supposed to be one of the strongest, hardest things! FH is taking it back to the jeweler tomorrow, but I am not sure what they will offer....
Also, we have insurance on the e-ring, so we'll see!

yikes! that really stinks!!
I would like to know what your jeweler has to say about this.
diamonds are very hard but not indestructible. did you bang your hand recently, drop it on the floor, etc?

My E-Ring is one diamond surrounded by 6 tiny diamonds, sorta looking like a flower. Anyway, awhile after I got it, one of the little diamonds fell out!!! I was so upset, but I got it fixed. Unfortunately, rings do get knocked around sometimes and stuff happens to them.

I had one of my diamonds in my wedding bnd shatter because it dropped on a marble floor. I took it to the jewelers and had it replaced. I put it through insurance.

It drives me especially insane because I am sooooo anal about my e-ring...I take it off every time I wash my hands so I don't get soap gunk in it, never wear it to the gym or where I have to do anything strenuous...I just don't get how it happened...I have no memory of slamming or banging my hand into anything either!
