E-ring for work?

E-ring for work?

Hello ladies, I have been so busy with work i have been LIW deprived!! While i am at work, i have been wearing my e-ring around my neck because i dont want to worry about it being banged up or lost.(i work in a hospital)

It makes me so sad to see my bare finger when i look at it, but i cant take the chance that i will lose it when washing my hands or using the alcohol hand sanitizer!!

Does anyone wear a band or a different ring especially for work? I was thinking about wearing a simple band or a band with a small diamond embedded in it, but i dont know if i want to hear people asking me if im married all the time because they think its a wedding band....(not many people know i am engaged yet)

megan (soon2bmrsd) did that. You'll only get the questions when they first see it, I don't think it'll be enough of a hassle to not do it, but it's up to you!

at my job i am constantly banging my ring with boxes and surprisingly it is fine!!! the diamond wont get scratched and the band is so thick that its fine. i do however clean it alot!!! im not sure what yours looks like but if you would feel more comfortable with a fake or a band, i think thats a great idea. nothing wrong with that at all!

I never take my ring off ever,
I keep it on when i shower, when i wash my hands, and when i sleep at nite.

The only time i take it off is when i use the jewerly cleaner and then it goes right back on.

I figure if something happens, i will get alot of money from the insurance company to replace it

i have a friend who's a nurse and she wears a fake ring from Target or Walmart or something. It looks like an engagement ring so no one asks questions and it's fake so she doesnt care if it gets all beaten up or whatever.

I don't wear my e-ring at work. I'm a personal trainer and it got so scratched and messed up from me moving weights around and whatever, so now I just don't wear it. I also work with little kids and don't want to take the chance of scratching them with it.
I personally wouldn't get a 'fake' one, I still feel engaged without it, lol, but I think if you really want something to wear everyday then go ahead, I don't think too many peopl would ask about it.

Hey, I'm a nurse, I wear my ring all the time, in fact all of the nurses i work with do. I turn my ring around so that the diamond is facing the palm of my hand, much easier when wearing gloves! Diamonds are rocks, u have a better chance of breaking something elses than damaging the ring!

FH and I were talking about having my e-ring made in cz and 14kt gold by our jewler so that i can wear it on vacation and to the nail salon and not have to worry about having it get lost.

The loss is bad enough for me for sentemental reasons god forbit that would happen. You are right about getting money from the insurance to replace it but still sad

I am CONSTANTLY ripping off gloves everyday so when I got engaged FH bought me an 'engagement band' Its a antique style band and very flat. It was prob meant for a right hand ring. I did this because my mom is a dental hygenis and lost one of her stones in a glove..so I wont wear mine to work

When I first got engaged I wore it everywhere but then stopped bec I am scared I will damage it. I dont wear it to work, I dont want to dent it, scratch it etc etc. I mostly wear it on the weekends and when Im out with friends, FH, fam etc, I know that sounds weird lol
