FH insured mine before he even gave it to me! He put it on our home owners insurance.

and then I insured it through www.jewelersmutual.com . I don't own a home, or even rent one yet (I live with my parents), so this way just seemed easier.
jewlersmutual is really good and easy. the policy is great (full replacement) and not too expensive :)

Re: e-ring insurance?
we got it about two weeks after we got engaged....me and Fh live in an apartment and have renter's insurance and just called my insurance company and told them I wanted to add my ring...they needed a copy of the appraisal and certificate and they just added it to be insured...I believe it was an extra 300 dollars for the year
if you have homeowners insurance you can put it under there....

We insured my ring... you can add it to a homeowner's or renter's policy. Make sure to get full replacement value for your ring!

hi girls- i was just wondering how many of u have had your engagement rings insured? if so- how do you go about doing so? TIA
when you do it - let me know where you go - when we called up they told us it was $100 for every $1,000 its worth which adds up

thats ridiculous!! I have my ering insurance thru state farm - its wayyyy less than that - we didnt add it to our homeowners bc id rather have a separate policy bc if i loose the ering, id have a claim on my homeowners.

Re: e-ring insurance?
I did not wear my ring until it was insured. We added my ring to our renters insurance with Travelers.
