E-Ring Vent

Hey ladies...

I kind of needed to vent. So FH and I went to get my engagement ring the beginning of the week. We had picked one out together a while ago, but things changed and we were able to look at some other options now.

So he surprised me and took me last week telling me I had a few more options. I was super excited and we picked out our stone and found a setting that is TO DIE for. The problem? IT TAKES 4 DAMN WEEKS TO GET HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I feel like I will lose my mind before then. I am so bummed that I am going to have to go back to school w/o my ring. I just had my heart set on having it by then- I realize I am getting something nicer in exchange for waiting but I am just bummed.

Sorry for the vent- everyone at school was expecting us to be engaged this summer and even though we are, I won't have my ring.

Hope this makes sense... thanks for listening.

I totally understand, I had to wait for my ring for a few months. Thankfully I had it the weekend before work/school started. But i have to say it is worth the wait

I got the whole thing you are planning a wedding and dont have the ring yet? Yes , you dont need it to be engaged!!! FH's sister is getting married 3 weeks after us and she doesnt want an engagment ring, its not for everyone.

Aww I had to wait a while for my ring too. FH proposed with a band ring because he knew I had wanted to design my own ring...and it took mr FOREVER to deceide exactly what I wanted.and once we picked out the stone and designed the setting I went CRAZY waiting for it... 4 weeks will fly by!!! Just tell everyone you guys designed it and your waiting for it to come in..

Good idea to say its at the jeweler being resized- or you can say a stone was loose and they had to fix it or something. Its annoying to have to explain anything but it will be worth it!!

I feklt the same when I got engaged the ring didnt fit because fh didnt wanna size it without knowing I liked it so when we wanted to get it sized they told us it had to be custom made and it would take 2 mth I was engaged but without a ring for 2 mths...

I know how you feel. I got engaged in April and wore it for three months. Then I brought it in July to be cleaned an one of hte stones was lost so they had to send it out to be fixed. It took almost three weeks. I had gotten so use to wearing it that I hated not having it. And we had a family BBQ during that time. Wasn't able to show it off!!
And I know what's it's like to get the 'your not engaged yet'. FH and I were dating for seven years before he proposed. don't stress about other people. You know that he did and you're getting a beautiful ring and will have it in no time!!
