E - Rings?

Does anyone else take their ring off to go to bed? I take mine off every night to go to bed (which I get yelled at from the people I work with, a lot of them told me I am never supposed to take it off) because I can not even imagine sleeping with it on. I would think it is uncomfortable, but I really don't know I never tried it. Anyway, because I do that, I forget to put my ring on sometimes in the morning. I forgot it today, and now I am so upset. I hate when I forget to put my ring on. Luckily I work 2 minutes from my house so I go home on my lunch break and I can put it on, but I hate when I forget it. Am I the only one that forgets to put it on?

I never take mine off...b/c when I do, I forget to put it back on and then panic. I did last summer when we lived in Queens and had no AC b/c my finger would swell and turn blue from the ring! I think I'm in the minority though.

I take my off when I go to bed and I try not to wear it if I'm doing dishes. A friend of mine is in the jewlery industry and is diamon certified and said that (and I don't know how accurate this is) that if you wear it while putting on lotion or washing your hands it can loosen the setting. I don't wear my ring to bed because a) my hands swell no matter what during the night and b) the one time I did wear it, FH woke up with quite a scratch on his forehead

I take mine off to sleep as well, I don't want my ring to get pulled on the sheets at night and loosen the setting. I also take it off when washing my hands etc bc I don't know how soap affects the diamond or the metal, and I don't want to take any chances.

my e-ring is platinum and i can't tell you how many times i've gone to smack myself on the forehead (you know that 'oh crap' slap) and had a bruise and sore spot from the dang thing!

i don't wear mine to bed or in the shower or if i am just staying in the house i don't wear it either ... i forget sometimes in the morning to put it on and believe me there are plenty times i am late to work cuz i have to go back and get it .. i don't live close to work to go on lunch and i think it would be weird if i wasn't wearing it ..

so to answer your question .. NO i don't wear mine all the time ....

I don't wear it to bed either. My diamond is set really high and the prongs get snagged on everything, I would be so afraid of losing the stone!!

i take both my rings off every night but i put them into my jewelry box. i can't stand sleeping with them on, but i don't put them on my dresser because i once lost an earring that way

i only take it off to take a shower. it's become such a routine that i dont forget it. my hand feels naked and lighter if i dont have them on!

Well I am glad that other people take it off as well. I take it off to sleep, shower, wash my hands and also to put lotion on. A woman at work told me that it is bad luck to take it off, so I tried not to, but I really don't want to sleep with it on. I have to stop listening to other people. She made me feel so bad about taking it off, but I am glad that a lot of you take it off as well. I know that I am not the only one. Thanks Girls!

I am SO careful with my ring. I take it off to wash my hands, clean, do the dishes, take a shower, work out and go to bed. Pretty much, I put it on after I am all ready to go out somewhere. If I am home, chances are it's in the box. I used to forget it every once in a while but now it's so routine, I rarely forget it when I leave the house.
