my FH and I met at EAB plaza in east meadow. I thought it would be nice to take out engagement photos there. Does anyone know if you need special permission?
I wish i still worked there. It is so close to my home but the company went out of business
you should go over there one day and see if you can speak to someone... or just call if you don't wanna go
I know that when my friend took her wedding pics there she had to pay a fee, but this was a few years ago when it was EAB and now its Reckson so I dunno if rules have changed or not.
When you do the pictures you should find out when they start the fountain outside and what times during the day it is on. I think that would make a nice backdrop, and right now the fountains are off.
I can't help you with your exact question, but once last winter I was there and wanted to step inside out of the cold to see if the pretty indoor gardens that were there when I was a kid were still around. We were very rudely asked to leave b/c they were setting up for a wedding in the EAB lobby. SOOOO.... you might want to check to make sure there's not a wedding/event at the time you'd be getting your photos taken there, permit or not. Also, in case you look it up to call, I believe it's called the Rex Center now.
