Soooo....last week FH took me to the David Yurman sample sale in hopes of finding my early Xmas/wedding present, diamond earrings....we didn't find anything...
Then my Mom and I were in Walt Whitman on Sunday, and I found earrings I absolutely loved and bought them...they were pricey. I told FH and he said my Mom and I are not allowed to go shopping together anymore and he would see if they were in the budget. I have 21 days to return them.....well, now 18.
I wish I had a pic, but they look like rosettes, 18k white gold and diamond...
Anyone else do bad things like this? I feel so guilty...but I LOVE the earrings.

Re: Earrings-I was bad....
I spent $115 on a pair of shoes for a wedding im going to on Saturday. Why??? Who knows?? I fell in love with them.. bought them. I felt guilty.. but I got over it.. We are all entitled to a splurge every now & then. Dont feel guilty.. if you truly love them.. Be HAPPY!!! Why spend so much money to feel bad?

I think I'm over the guilt, as I've been putting them on every night when I get home!!
Oh, I hope I can keep them! You're right, why feel guilty about something I love?

Re: Earrings-I was bad....
everytime I buy something over or out of the budget, I take money from something else that I do daily (expensive coffees, going out to lunch) and put it away until I've paid for it....not sure how $$ your earrings are, but I am sure with a little sacrafice on your part, you can persuade fh you'll makeup the difference.

Good advice Jessica.....I can always take $$ out of my personal budget too. We already planned on Xmas being small and only wedding/home related gifts..so these fit the profile....

trust me we all spend more money on things then we wanted to.. but you will always have those earings.. so if you divide the price by several years, then really the price of the earings were close to nothing

Well, I love my earrings and will have them forever, so I think it was a good investment.

Good for you! I bet they are beautiful! I just can't do that. My FH had to force me to spend $50 on a pair of pants for myself. I always worry about money.
