I am giving my cousin some last minute help tonight to prepare for the regents. I havent tutored for earth science in about 4 years... is there any changes I should know about?

I remember I took that freshman year. I hated any kind of science! Doesn't she have an Earth Science Regents study guide?

I believe there is a written part now! I teach Biology and their regents has a written part now!

Yes she has the study guide and has been studying. She asked me to come over and help with some questions. The last kid I tutored was when I was a senior in highschool. He didn't pass an earth science test the WHOLE YEAR! He even failed all his practice regents. I tutured him 2 times a week for 2 months and he got an 85 on the regents His family still thanks me to this day...I also helped him in biology. I told my cousin that I spent a lot of time with that kid and she isn't going to learn everything in one night. I kept offering to help her but she never wanted any help... until the night before... KIDS!

Yeah I know that one! DH's sister always waited till the day before to ask for help in her science subjects. Sometimes I would be like grrr....

yes, there is a written part. If you go to Regentsprep.org, she can take practice ones online, and if you do a search, you can get past exams with answer keys. That is what Im teaching this summer. Tomorrow is the exam. Good Luck to her!!!

i wish i would have known sonner! i teach summer school next to the earth science teacher...i could have asked him for you!!! but the regents is tomorrow....
