East Wind

Went to a wedding last night at East Wind! Anyone have questions? Food was delicious! I had the Chateau Briand for my main course, and it was one of the best steaks I ever ate.

Where in the East Wind was the wedding held? How was the cocktail hour and food served? I am getting married there in October.

I got married in the veranda room in EW two weeks ago. It was fabulous:)

I am getting married in the Veranda too! Was wondering how the cocktail hour was overlooking the hotel lobby?

Re: East Wind

It was held in the Northampton ballroom. The cocktail hour was very nice. Tables were set up both inside and outside. There were three different stations set up along the wall opposite the bar, a big table set up in the middle with all different dishes, and another buffet table also in the center of the room with pasta and carving stations.

It wasn't the best cocktail hour I've ever been to, but everything I had was very good. This cocktail hour seemed to have more foods that I would consider to be everyday, such as potatoes, pasta, grilled veggies, crudite, etc. In my family, we tend to have more opulent cocktail hours (i.e., seafood stations, roasted pig, etc.)

All of the rooms were a very comfortable temperature (my FH actually noticed this bc he is always hot). In the reception, we were seated towards the entrance, so the dance floor was more on the opposite side of the room, and it was a little hard to see the dance floor.

The service was great. My table was called out for a picture before we were done eating. When we came back, our plates had been taken, and some people were not done eating. We told our waiter, and he gave us whole new dishes. They had the house salad, penna a la vodka as apperizers and both were great.
