East Wind Brides

Are you blocking rooms for your guests?? I don't think I am because I heard you have to put half of the balance on your credit card to hold them. Also the rooms are soooo expensive!!! They are over $250 a night! That's crazy to ask guests to pay that. I'm really torn! What are you ladies doing?

I did... but at the Best Western. I blocked 30 rooms and they are almost gone!!! EW was too expensive.

do they provide a shuttle to EW to bring the guests to their hotel? I may block there too. How far is it from EW?

I forgot the details, but I believe they will provide a shuttle at an additional cost, and I know they charge to keep the bar open. FH and I checked out the BW over the summer and it is no more than 10 mins from EW. It was a very nice hotel, and they are doing renovations this winter.

We decided to block rooms at EW out of convenience. Even though the guests are paying more, we saved by not having to pay for the shuttle, to keep the bar open and our room. We spoke to many of the guests that we knew would be staying, and most of them were OK with the price since it was so convenient.

they provide one 14 passanger shuttle if 15 rooms are booked. Additional shuttles are $184 dollers each.

I'm going to book rooms at both. Only my immediate family will probably get room at EW and OOT guests will go to best western

I am probably going to book some rooms, but wait until it gets a little closer. Its hard for people to decide if they want to stay the night or not-b/c its over a year away...I just hope I won't be too late.

i think im going to block rooms at EW..they gave me a price of $189 if i block 10 and $179 each if i block 20....we gotta figure out who needs a room and who doesnt....now that the holidays are over i can try and figure it out.
the best western said the price was around 149...so i think people would rather just stay at the inn for the extra 30 bucks...let me know if the prices are less then that...

The only thing is EW makes you put half off the total rooms you block cost on your credit card to hold them, which can end up being a lot of money. I don't think I want to put that much on my credit card. I have to see what the Best Western's policy is, also my close family have already booked rooms there and are willing to pay the full price, but I'm thinking of my BP and the convinence of it.
