Hey fellow East Wind brides!

There was an official 05 East Wind thread a while back but it kinda went dead, so I decided to start a new one. I thought we could use this to keep in touch. There are 19 of us on here!

So how is planning going?

Hey!!! Planning is going great!!!! I am having so much fun!!! I love East Wind!!!! I think it is the most beautiful reception location around, especially since they have several to pick from!!!! Let's keep this thread going girls!!!!

planning is going good had to hold back for a bit since FH was laid off of work from march-oct!! but things are taking place so far I have
(1) got my dress,veil,tiaraand shoulder shall,
(2) ordered Bm's dresses(apple red) very pretty
(3) got the florist using Burton's flowers
(4) Registerd at Bath Bed and Beyond
(5) have gotten some gifts for the girls eachone I ordered a personalized poem that says Bridesmaid on it for my 2 Bridesmaids,one that says JR Bridesmaid,and one that says Maid of honor. They are really pretty poems thanking them for sharing my special day with me.
we are booked this friday to see Duet's and see what they have to offer and on the 7th we are going to the DJ.oh yeah and I booked the church of course.I have so much more to do but I try not to get to upset.

I booked Duet too. They are great, you will love them.

So what is up with the tastings? I heard that you don't have one. If you want to taste the food you have to go to a showcase.

everything is great I met with Mike G to make my menus and it was so fun! FYI they also just bought a chocolate fountain so i splurged and got it...actually he gave me a pretty good deal since i cxled my ice sculpture in lieu of the Chocolate fountain

East Wind got a chocolate fountain??

I'm here! I have not been on much, b/c been so busy at work. Can't believe how fast it is coming up.

I can't believe you got a tasting - I did not, they told me 'no tastings.' That kinda stinks. has anyone got a tasting after booking?

ETA: I still love the Estate and East Wind! 50 more days!!!!

Anyone know if they make a formal menu up for you after you decide on what you want or do we have to make it? And what is this I hear about a tasting???

I'm not sure about menu cards. But as for the tasting, I was shocked to hear this too. I only learned of it after I booked. They don;t do a formal tasting when you choose your menu. If you want to taste the food you have to go to one of their showcases. We went to one last February, but I guess we have to go again for that reason.

I would like to know the price of the chocolate fountain also if anyone knows!!! Thanks!!!

They told me $2.95 extra pp....not bad were definitely doing it!!!...so excited
