Hey fellow East Wind brides!

There was an official 05 East Wind thread a while back but it kinda went dead, so I decided to start a new one. I thought we could use this to keep in touch. There are 19 of us on here!

So how is planning going?

I THINK THEY HAVE TABLE #'S BUT DONT USUALLY DO MENUS......BUT MAY BE ABLE TO IF U ASK.....COULDNT HURTTHEY SEEM SO ACCOMODATING

I have presidents week off. I'll let you all know and try to take pics of table # and or menues if they have them.

Hi Ladies-I was just wondering what type of centerpieces you were all planning on using-when I booked the East Wind (estate) a wedding was set up and they had low floral centerpieces (which were beautiful) so now i am having trouble imagining them with the tall centerpieces. Please share what you plan on using!

Hi!

We're using low ones - but with three candles tiered at various heights in the middle. So, a little height. Personally, I like the low ones - I can't see around the high ones.

Any one know about the menus? By the way, we're doing the escort thing too - I think that is awesome!

For centerpieces, I am using Lenox Candle Lamps...I didn't want flowers and I think it will be such a romantic look and since the Estate will be decorated for Christmas, I didn't want anything to overshadow the beauty of it. Also, I think guests will love to take it home!!!

I'm using high centerpieces - calla lillies in tall vases on a mirror with votive candles around bottom. I will post the picture I brought to my florist. it wont have the jelly stuff in the vase

I am also planning on going to the east wind sometime this week to get some answers to those questions we all had. Any other question you want me ask?

Hey girls..there's lots of great EW info on here! I havent been on since the fall, but I saw this thread and was so happy!!
I am considering the chocolate fountain and already decided on the champagne and strawberries, figuring it will be a nice touch.....

I am also an East Wind Bride. Mike G has always been very helpful and available to answer any questions we had. We did get a taste test in the restruant/bar side. The food was EXECELLENT! I didnt know they werent giving the taste tests to everyone.. we got ours after we booked.

I was quoted $4.95 a person. And I thought that they did not do the escort thing in the INN. That is what I was told.

I remember asking and was told if its not so big of a party (dont know the limit), then they would--I would assume anything over 200+ would be more difficult for them escort each couple/person.
