There was an official 05 East Wind thread a while back but it kinda went dead, so I decided to start a new one. I thought we could use this to keep in touch. There are 19 of us on here!

In the Estate, they give us a paper layout that has the setup of the ballroom..We just have to fill in the names of the people sitting at the different tables...I think its great!

HI ladies
I am a 2006 east wind bride...but I was told that we did have a tasting when we choose our menu....Is this not true???
We got some extras...they 'added' straw. and champ for guests upon arrival for us...
we also got the sushi bar, nautical bar and upgraded hord. during cocktail hour. our total pp price for a sat eve. in july was 160 which was really good for what we were adding...

Wait... I am so confused... I was also told that they do the escorting in the estate too, one of the nice touches they have...i had to guarantee 200 for the estate room for a sat evening in july...so do you know if they still do the escorting or not>??yikes....

ANyone know what band giorgios is having at their showcase this sunday? I want to go if there is a band there..I called a week ago and they didnt know....I dont want to pay $15.00 a person for nothing though...

Ok EW girls,...I just have to say that I just fell in love w EW all over!! I spoke to them yesterday, and they said signature drinks are a go. The chocolate fountain is there, and I am getting sooo excited!!! We will set up our menu etc in a month and a half. SO EXCITED!!!

Are the SD's at an additional charge? Since we are paying for the wedding ourselves, we're trying not to go over budget.

Ok gosh, that's a great question. I didnt even think to ask (DUH!!) I would assume not, but I better check.... He said just to let them know the drink. They can put a sign up or have them pass the drinks around.

How does the idea work....is it at the bar, passed around? s there a card with the name on the bar... sounds like such a good idea, but i am clueless as to how it works,

You decide on a name, like something that represents you (where you met, a date, etc). EW will put a sign at the bar and/or have the drink passed around to guests. For example, pink is my color, so I will choose something pink. I think ours will be FLYING POINT, bc thats the name of the club where FI and I met. Be creative and even a bit cheesy!!!

Hey girls! I may be another future East Wind bride. Were looking into this summer at Country Gardens. I went today and had a meeting with John. it was very nice. I am concerned about the traffic because wew ould exchange vows on the bridge and if its a rainy day I would totally cry! Any other concerns I should know about before booking!! Thanks so much in advance! Amy
BTW - the chocolate fountain was like $450?? Do they ever throw it in?

I have so much time, since I am an '06 bride, (but I like the advice of the '05 ers too) BUT, I want a signature drink.and now I have to start thinking about it!!! YAY
