There was an official 05 East Wind thread a while back but it kinda went dead, so I decided to start a new one. I thought we could use this to keep in touch. There are 19 of us on here!
So how is planning going?

Re: EAST WIND Brides!! Where are you?
Hey girls! I went to EW for the showcase last night so we could test out the food one more time. It was in a word amazing!
But I found out they changed their menu. When we booked back in Feb 04, it was a lot different. They went down on the number of choices you can get. FH and I are not happy about this and hope that we will not have to go by this menu since the selection was one of the main reasons for booking EW in the first place.
Anyway, we also picked up direction cards and they are so nice! I also got to see and taste the Chocolate Fountain and now I want one even more!!!!

Re: EAST WIND Brides!! Where are you?
I was there too last night! It was good, though I felt like there were more options of food to try last time...LOVED the chocolate fountain and the woman who manned it was funny. I told her I wanted it only if she manned it against evil double-dippers!! I still have not picked out flowers!!!

I thought that also. I loved the Eggplant and the Tortellini. My florist is great if you need one.

I'm still debating about low or high centerpieces for the Estate Room-what are you ladies doing?? Does anyone have pics of the estate with high or low centerpieces??
This has been my hardest decision to date and that is why I still haven't booked a florist!!!

<-----This is my centerpiece in my avatar...I wanted something simple and elegant that wouldn't take away from the beauty of East Wind.

I'm happy to hear that they do cakes that are out of the ordinary. I don't know how FH is going to feel about no white cake though. Im guess I get my way and we'll have chocolate

When I went to look at the Estate they were setting up for a wedding and the bride had chosen high centerpieces. They looked amazing. They were mainly hydrangeas. I am using high... I booked flowers by Burtons.

I think I'm going to go with high centerpieces-I actually met with Burtons on Saturday and loved their work-I'm meeting with Flower Michele this week and then I will make my decision.

Re: EAST WIND Brides!! Where are you?
I have asked. One couple she said had their own recipe that they both created when they first met. So they had EW make it for everyone to share w/ them. I thought that was cute ....
The only signature drink me and FH have, is Red Bull so I dont think Im gonna do one....
