East Wind - Ceremony?

East Wind - Ceremony?

Okay, so after visiting 6 reception halls I'm starting to narrow down my hunt.

I actually really like East Wind's Verranda room. I have only one reserve - The ceremony space. It seems like it's sorta between the driveway up and the parking lot.

Has anyone had their ceremony at East Winds? Was noise a problem? Did you feel it was private/isolated enough for you and your guests? How did you like it?

I'm an EW bride, but am getting married at the Estate....so not sure I'm much help! The Estate's ceremony area is not near the road. I'm not sure about noise with the Verranda. I know one of the other places we looked at was close to the road and it was noisy, but it was a very busy road (EW certainly isn't on a busy road..)! My suggestion would be to go back, and to look at the ceremony area and see if you notice the noise.

Re: East Wind - Ceremony?

I was at a wedding at EW two weeks ago, and the ceremony was outside. There was a point when a plane flew overhead and we couldn't hear a thing .....but any outdoor spot might have this issue, not just EW.

The things that I would pay attention to are the arches that go down the aisle and the sound system. I was sitting towards the back, and I literally couldn't see a thing and was straining to hear because I guess the mics weren't on loud enough, and the arches blocked our view completely. I would ask them if there is anything they can change about the configuration of the arches and also if they can turn the mics louder.

Other than that, it was a very nice ceremony. Rev Deb did it, and she made it very, very personal to the couple!

It was very quiet. We had it at night, there was no noise issue but I had it in the north hampton room.

Thanks for the response about the nighttime wedding...

I'm really concerned about anyone who has used the outdoor ceremony space. It's just a concern about noise.

I guess my other alternative is to find someplace else to hold it- which on a quick internet search, doesn't seem helpful.
