I'm still battling a hunt for a combined ceremony site and RH. I visited East Winds today, and we loved the room we saw... but it was not what we were told about..
We had heard about a side building, the Estate, and how it offered privacy from other weddings and allowed people to have a garden wedding with sort of a well lit reception hall that opened to the garden
Instead we saw the 'Veranda' - which isn't even listed on their website. It's a small room on the second floor of the main building that has a Veranda - which unfortunately overlooks the driveway.
Double checking their website - i see the Country Garden, and read here people had only 75 people in it (we are looking 100-120, and possibly considering larger).
Has anyone had their wedding at The Estate or Country Garden? What rates and Head count mimimums were you given?

Re: East Wind - Guest Minimums?
I had mine in the Northampton Ballroom and it was a 125 minimum. The Country Gardens is definitely less of a minimum because they said I could not do it in that room because I had too many guests. It also has really nice picture opportunities.

Re: East Wind - Guest Minimums?
We looked into Country Garden back in April/May and were told it was closed after 2011, they are making it into a restaurant. I would double check and see if that's still true. We were kinda upset because we didn't like the veranda and were told we would need to up our min for the estate. We are planning 120 and the guy said he could work with us if we increased the min to about 150.

I'll have to inquire and see if it really did close. If so that's disappointing. That was the space I saw on their website that brought us there. I thought it was odd she didn't mention it in our appointment - which ended via fire drill (oops?).
We are planning 120 and were told 175 minimum for the estate (which would have been another place). The veranda is okay, but ...
Aren't they supposed to be one of the places to go for a nice garden wedding? Yet, where are the gardens - I didn't see any.

We are having ours at the Estate our contract minimum is 135, although we have way over that. If you really want to have it there I think you should ask Im sure they will work with you.

The Country Gardens have a max of like 140 I think. So, that may be a good option for you. I'm having my wedding at the Estate, next year and have a minimum of 150.

I had my wedding at the estate and we had apron 160 guests. The estate was just redone and is beautiful! I'm not sure what the min is but I'm sure if you had less people it would just be more per head. If you have any questions FM me!

Re: East Wind - Guest Minimums?
When I was looking at East Wind we saw the Veranda room and loved it. The minimum they told us for the room was 110. The only thing that I didn't like was that the CH was in the hallway along the upstairs balcony. That turned me off.
