east wind vs. hamlet golf and country club

im torn between the east wind and hamlet golf and country club. im having about 300-350 people and like the layout of the room at the hamlet better. does anyone know anything about food at these palces. i'll take any feedback i can get!!!

Which Hamlet? There are about 3; and more to come! (The Hamlet is popping up everywhere; my parents live at the Hamlet Windwatch in Hauppauge)--if this is the one you mean, it's lovely. One wedding at a time, all the Hamlets are. Check Preshy7's review for info about Hamlet WIllow Creek; CherylandCliff for Hamlet Commack, and Divabride for one on Hamlet Windwatch. The East Wind is lovely, but to me the difference is many weddings going on at once vs. something quieter. Hope this helps; also, you'll get more action if you post on brides helping brides!

If you are talking aboutthe Hamlet Wind watch in Hauppauge youcan read my review....It was amazing.....but I didnt know it could fit 350 people.

Well I was between the Hamlet and the East wind when I got married. I choose the Hamlet and I am so happy I did. I got married at the one In Hauppauge. I think you have too many guests for the Hamlet in Hauppauge, so you must be talking about Commack or Mount Sinai.
The Hamlet was wonderful!!! They did a fantastic job and the food was great. So many people have never been to a wedding at the Hamlet, which I liked. I have seen the other Hamlets and they are all beautiful. I heard great things about the Hamlet in Commack and heard the food was fantastic. They actually rotate their chefs around. My cousin works in the one in Mount Sinai and she said they put on a great wedding.

East Wind weddings are very nice as well.

I love the east wind i say east wind and they give you a room to stay the night of the wedding!!!

East Winds was FANTASTIC!! My MatOH got married there and I can't say enough good about it!!

If your talking about the Hamlet in Commack, that's another story. It's very pretty and I know they just revamped their room, but I used to park cars there and the food is eh-ok.

If your talking about the one is Hauppauge, FH and I have been there for Fire Department functions. The rooms can accomodate that many people it'll just be in a long room. The food is really good, I love the cocktail hour room, and the brick patio they have, their rooms are really nice too.

I know there's another one but I don't anything about it.

I am getting married at The Hamlet Golf and Country Club in Commack. I've heard nothing but great things about their food. I work with a woman who dines there all the time and cannot say enough good things about their food. I went there during a wedding and they showed me their dishes, it looks yummy! Best of luck deciding!

how many people are you having? im having 300-350 people and im concerned that the cocktail hour area is not big enough. what do you think?

While East Wind does have 3 different areas for 3 different brides, I don't get the vibe that you'll be running into any other bride on the day of. They specifically schedule your time to take pictures in the Inn so you don't see another bride- and all of the places to have your wedding are in 3 different buildings- so no sharing of the bathrooms either.

I looked at the Hamlet in Commack for our wedding as well as the Hamlet in Hauppauge for my sister's wedding- I also worked a the Hauppauge one. I think they both are very nice as well. The one at Hauppauge has the Hyatt so that is really great especially if you have a lot of out of town guests.

I am bias though- I fell IN LOVE with EW. It was the first hall we went to and nothing could compare to it in my mind. Good Luck!!!
