Re: easter dinner?????

Apple crisp is very very easy,

Take 4-6 granny smith apples (depending on size)
peal them, core them and slice into half moons ( this is easier done with an apple peeler/slicer, that i got for 14.00 its WORTH the money!)

Put them in a pan glass pan is ok,or even a pie plate is better

Then pour about 3/4 of a box of Yellow cake mix on top of the apples.

then melt 1-2 sticks of butter and pour all of the top,

then pour cinnomin sugar (i like to make my own, then i can control the taste) all over the top

bake at 350 for about 20 minutes or until the sugar is getting crispy..

serve warm with ice cream or cool whip!

Suzanne I dont mean to sound like the biggest A$$ in the world but Im going to...

When you pour the yellow cake over the apples is it mixed with egg, oil, milk or just the mix?

Re: easter dinner?????

i also make the apple crisp
but instead of peeling coring and cutting the apples

i use a can of 'apple pie filling' FH loves it

Re: easter dinner?????

Suzanne: I'm seconding the stupid question because my eyes tell me that there are NO EGGS in that apple crisp and my FH is deathly allergic to eggs so the poor boy has never had cake

But if I'm seeing what I think I'm seeing I'm making apple crisp for Easter!!

So definitely no eggs??

Re: easter dinner?????
