when we lived with various families members, we closed the door, now that we have our own place...im like, why are you closing the doors, its not like someone is just gonna walk in...

I leave mine open. FI always closes his-he says for safety??
Our new apartment doesn't have a door on the bedroom, so I guess he will have to get used to that come February!

DH is used to closing it Im used to leaving it open So we compromise and leave it open half way It makes no sense, but it works for us!

We only close it usually in the summer when we want to keep the air conditioned air in, and even then it's cracked so the cat can get in and out. Or, if we have company staying over, we'll do the same.

People think this is strange, but growing up, we always slept with doors open in my house. Of couse, we would close them if we wanted privacy or if my father was snoring too loudly.
I am most comfortable sleeping with the door open; it is the only thing I have ever known. I've only ever lived with my folks or DH, have never had a roommate or anything.

We live with other people that are up at all ends of the night and day. So I keep the door closed at all times. I feel uncomfortable if I have the door open.

I dont close it because of my son, I feel safer with the door open. Now if were going to get busy we close and lock it LOL

We keep it open in the winter to allow the heat to circulate and we close it in the summer to keep the cool air in.

we used to close it (though i don't know why b/c it's only us) but in the colder months we leave it open b/c it's easier for the heat to reach us.

we have to keep it open so our old cat Gunnar can come in to sleep on the bed.
I was punishing him the other night and I closed the door....he screamed so loud that it woke me up and I had to let him back in

We keep the door closed now that we are living with my IL's.
When we were on our own we kept it open unless we had guests sleeping over.
