We close the door.

I think it's because when when I was younger adults always enforced that you should keep your doors closed incase there is a fire - and I am sooooooo scared of fire.

I have always slept with the door closed. It freaks me out if the door is open and I can hear the 'house sounds.'

we have to keep it open so our old cat Gunnar can come in to sleep on the bed.

I was punishing him the other night and I closed the door....he screamed so loud that it woke me up and I had to let him back in
