I was listening to Z-100 this morning and they were talking about presents. Aparently, a survey showed that 60 percent of women want a home made card....
what about you?
with choice of other, not a vacation or a new car but somthing reasonable....
My fav V-day gifts from FH are outings - a day trip, a nice dinner (or him cooking me dinner!), a night at a nice hotel - anything that allows me to spend some quality alone time with my FH!
Second would be a home-made card - especially if he writes something special inside I save every card he has given me and can quote the sweet things he wrote inside - cause they meant so much

Re: Easy Poll: If you only had...
to share my store...
1 year after our engagment, that valentines day we went to Bertucci's (nasty food )
We been engaged and the wedding was one year away + we had a gift card to the resturant so it was basically a free date.
We were talking about presents and she always gives be a blue moutain card. (much better then regular cards). So i was like, im sorry...i made you a chessy computer card. She fell in love with me soon as she got the chessy card.
She fell more in love with me when she opened it and found tickets to see Celine Dion for our anniversary...
but home made cards work...

Re: Easy Poll: If you only had...
I hate a dozen roses just because that involves no thought...Jewelry he chose just for me, even my favorite chocolates...I don't see him ever making a card (a computer one I'd believe, but never cutting out shapes and coloring) so that would be cute just because it would be so not him.

I voted for home made card, just 'cause I think it's the most thoughtful and romantic. However, DH and I do not celebrate that day.

I said flowers- b/c for my Hubby it's a hard concept
I have tons of vases that I got - and I want to fill them- when he can handle buying me flowers- he always gets the kind with a vase
he tries- it's tough for him I guess....

Re: Easy Poll: If you only had...
jewellery!
DH has never gotten me jewellery for Valentines day, so it would be appreciated.
I hate stuffed animals & shouldn't eat the chocolate & would probably laugh at a card, b/c I know it is not his style.
Flowers are nice, but we've done that before. . . ETA-- Beth --I toally agree- No red roses!
DH totally know that. One year he bought me a plant, that was nice.

Re: Easy Poll: If you only had...
I do not celebrate V-day...can't stand it for some reason... All of DH's friends thinks he's the luckiest man in the world. Anyway... If I had to pick one...I would chose a homemade card.

DH writes the most wonderful things in each card he gives me. I look forward to reading the card more than opening presents (although I love presents).

I would love to be surprised with a weekend getaway. It's never happened. I'm the one who plans vacations.
