Ebay Feedback Losers! (VENT) Part Deux

WOW...that was strange...wouldn't let me post and then posted a negative response thread. Bleh!

Here's the original post:
I can't stand it when you leave feedback for someone on Ebay and they don't have the courtesy to leave you feedback, especially when you've been made to wait 2 weeks to get your item that you purchased as soon as you won! If you are a seller and can't find the time to leave feedback in a relatively quick timeframe, don't sell! I won't purchase things from sellers that don't leave feedback or take an extremely long time to leave it.

OK, I'm done venting now.

That annoys me too - especially when you are new to ebay and trying to build a good reputation.

I sometimes read the answer center and every single statement like yours gets the reply:
Feedback is voluntary.

I just started selling recently and usually leave FB when the transaction is complete which is when I get confirmation somehow that the package was received in good condition.

Yes, feedback is voluntary, but it is essential as well. Who wants to buy from someone without a reputation? I used to leave feedback right away when I sold things, but found that I would leave it and not get any feedback in return. Once I waited for them to leave feedback, I started getting more feedback than if I had left feedback first. It's a shame that people can't take 2 seconds to say thanks.

Oh I agree with you that it's essential. It helps to safeguard people that ebay responsibly.

I always leave feedback for my buyers...and I will never leave negative feedback except for the times when it is given to me. I will admit that I was given negative feedback twice. Once last year and once a few weeks ago. The recent one was the womans fault, not mine. I dont like to use the negative feedback, or even neutral feedback. If I had a problem with the buyer or the seller I will not leave any feedback at all. If I had a good selling/buying experience, that I will leave really good feedback.

Most of my experiences on EBAY have been positive.

I try to leave it right after they pay me...but sometimes I forget...

someone left me neutral feedback once it was my fault...but it could have been easily corrected
