I've bought and sold on Ebay, so its not new to me.
But I'm so annoyed with my latest purchase. The auction ended on 8/3, I paid via paypal that day and asked that the item be shipped ASAP.
I have gotten NO response from the seller - no communication from them at all. A few days later I emailed them looking for confirmation that they received the payment and shipped the item. Heard nothing.
Emailed them again yesterday, asking for some sort of response and status. Nothing.
Its now been 10 days and I have no idea if the dress is on its way or what. Which really svcks because I wanted to wear it to a wedding this weekend.
Whats my next move?

Re: Ebay girls...a question
I ordered table cameras from there and although they looked good, they were in very bad shape internally. Half the cameras didn't have a working flash and all the pictures came out dark. I complained to the company. They replied calling me a lier and that their products are great. I will never buy a thing from there again.

Re: Ebay girls...a question
I got this from e-bays 'Buyer Protection Program' help screens:
If you do 'search members' there is a section to complete that will provide you with the sellers phone number & registered address. You can try contacting the seller that way.
If after 14 days you get no response, check with Paypal or credit card about fraud protection.
After 30 days, file a fraud alert report with ebay.
I hope you to the bottom of this real soon!!!!!

Thanks Christine!
Sue, sorry your experience was a bad one. I hope you don't condemn all of Ebay because of one poor transaction. I've gotten lots of great deals and great items.

Re: Ebay girls...a question
UPDATE: thanks to Christine's info, I was able to call the seller. She made a bunch of excuses about being out of town and how she was going to contact everyone today (yea, right!). I think its complete BS. She offered a refund, but I want the dress! She said she's mailing it today. We'll see...

Re: Ebay girls...a question
Sorry, that stinks, if she was out of town (unless it was for a family emergency-which could happen when buying from individuals not companies), she shouldn't have had any auctions ending when she was away. (I'm leaving for my honeymoon and I've made sure that I can ship and track all items to their destinations before I leave).

I am glad it worked out. Was she going to ship it express or something so you will have it in time for the wedding?

Re: Ebay girls...a question
I don't think I'll have it for this wedding. Even if it comes by Friday, which it should since she's only in LA, I won't have enough time to get shoes, and the dress may need alterations. (wedding is Saturday in Seattle)
But I have another wedding in September and I can wear it then.

That's good. Is this one of the dresses you posted last week or the week before??
