Ebay Items

Just thought I would share the items I am selling on Ebay in case anyone was interested--
If anyone else is selling I am curious to see what you have-- especially since Ebay is another one of my addictions!!!

Re: Ebay Items

SO far so good-- I just sold my last wedding scrapbook kit-- and someone on here is interested in stickers--

Do you know if we get charged more for cancelling an auction? I know it looks bad and they dont want you to do it-- affects your account (but I think you have to cancel alot to make a difference)

Have you sold much paper? I am going to take a look again---since I love the creative paper stuff and that is where you bought most of it right?

One thing I just noticed-- and this is a huge pet peeve of mine so ignore me please if you want -- but I have issues with shipping charges---and I know some things are more to ship due to weight etc-- but will shy away from auctions that have higher shipping charges-- so for instance on the eyelets--that is a great deal but then with shipping it doesn't seem like such a steal anymore---same with some of the paper---but with that being said I still spend tons on auctions so it doesn't completely send me packing!!!!
(End of Ramble)

I think I am at about $24---I do better with Half.com--since it stays up there forever!!!

I hate s/h...I try to be as reasonable as possible...and just charge for priority mail...

I got screwed on some eyelets...I was pissed...

I haven't sold any paper... but I just started...

to be honest...the creative paper isn't textured like brazzil, so it isn't as nice...but brazzil is a pretty penny....

Re: Ebay Items

I keep 'hearing' everyone talk about Brazzil but I can't say I have seen it--maybe I have in my LSS and have just passed it up-- I have to take a closer look---is it just solid cardstock? I haven't bought solid paper in a while so maybe that is why I have no clue as to what it is

I think they have regular paper too...but the cardstock is definitely better quality....its textured and maybe a bit thicker...

at my LSS they have it separated from the rest...lol segregated paper

Erica
I spent the morning cleaning out my 'inventory' so added more things to my Ebay listings but I have a question for you--- Did you buy an card paper from Creative Paper?

I have only bought cards from the sets that Michaels sells and to be honest and I am tired of the 'lower' quality so I want to see what is out there and figured I would buy from your inventory first!!!

let me know if you have any---or anyone else if you like a specific brand, company, etc that would be a great help

Thanks

Re: Ebay Items

Have you ever looked into Katie's in NYC? That is some very high quality paper and a really nice store to browse in.

Michele--where in NYC is it?

Re: Ebay Items

Kate's is beautiful...top quality...i want to say its on 18th?

Laura - I have never done cards from creative paper...I have found that I like to make my own cards...and own envelopes...there are some nice big ozktag size paper at Michaels I use and I can get 4 envelopes out of it (and lot of scraps to coordinate on the card)

Re: Ebay Items

I picked up a package of card connection cards (20%) at Michael's-- so I'll see how there quality is---

I have to go in to work on Thur (ok so I guess it isnt work since I don't work there any more) but I have a baby shower to go to and it is on 17th street so i am going to try and find the store to see what I can pick up--Thanks for the info!!!

I 'forced' Dh to let me put some of his CD's up for sale on Half.com--I swear he has not listened to any of them since I have known him

Well would you know that in the first day we have sold over $50 worth

Isn't that crazy???!!!

Very Cool!!!

I did the same thing last week with videos on Amazon!!!

After the holidays I get to go after the massive CD collection:D

Re: Ebay Items

Right now I have mostly car models up for sale but I have a few cd's and videos...You would be surprised at how much money you can make and you would also be surprised at what people actually spend their money on.

Christine
I just checked out amazon and it seems like they take a high percentage? is that true? is it .99 no matter what and then a percentage?

Where else has everyone sold? I have only done Ebay & Half.com but willing to sell anywhere!!!

Re: Ebay Items

With amazon you only pay if it sells and you can list the item for 60 days.

They also act as the middle person for payments - you don't have to have a paypal account if you don't want one. So buyers can pay any way they like without you getting stuck paying credit card fees to paypal.

Does half.com have the same set up as ebay? I should look into that.
