For all of you ebay savy people, I have a question. I bid on an item, now I don't think I want it, especially if it might be broken and for $200! I'm screwed huh? I also placed a mix bid. I'm so nervous no1 else has bid on this thing. There's no way to take the bid back right?

Re: Ebay question
I think so . Have you tried e-mailing the seller and telling them you don't want the item? Unfortunately I've never bid on something i wasn't sure about. Sorry i have no answer.

Re: Ebay question
You can retract your bid, but dont do it often cause it goes on your ebay record.
go to Help and look, you can retract your bid

Re: Ebay question
depending on the person that you are buying from you may be able to just give them the money that they spent to list and the money to relist i think its like 15 dollars. thats better then 200 for something you dont want. but some of the sellers on there can be kind of rough and may not allow you to get out of it and leave you negative feedback

Re: Ebay question
Thanks girls. I did e-mail the seller and she said she thought it was a binding contract. She didn't seem to know. I'm going to try her again.
Edited for spelling

as long as you didnt hit 'buy it now'.. you can retract the bid before the auction ends...
you need to search for it on the site though cause they kinda hide that option...i dont think youll find it on the page of the auction

Re: Ebay question
If you don't really use ebay or don't plan to, don't pay and take the negative. The buyer will file a non-paying bidder report to get their fees back and ebay will send you a warning, but if you dont need good feedback, don't worry about it.
