Ebay Question- What would you do

Someone just won the auction for my baseball cards that I was selling.seen here

Now in my auction it clearly says that I do not ship out of the united states. It says it in bolde letters that I typed in and it says it under shipping that Ebay put in....So guess where he lives????

The United Kingdom. He emailed me saying he buys cards and that is where he lives. So I had sent him an invoice through ebay, but that was before I noticed where he lived. I wrote him an email from hotmail saying that I dont ship out of the united states, and I dont want to get involved with filling out all the customs forms and stuff....Its just not something I want to do.

I am waiting to hear back from him and when I do I will send an email to the two highest bidders that didnt win and see if they are interested in the cards...

Ugh People drive me crazy.

Are you sure you don't want to send it to him. I have sold stuff that I shipped internationally and I never had a problem with anything. I send it through usps.

No thanks...I have had a few probelms in the past. That is why I write it in my auction that I only ship to the US...Also I only accept Paypal, because I have had problems with money orders getting lost in the mail.

I am waiting to hear back from the guy. Danielle seems to think that since he was the last bid for the auction, he may of bidded at the last minute and didnt realize I do not ship out of the US

Probably that's what happened. Well good luck then.

Well he emailed me back, and I decided that I am going to send him the package....I just told him shipping is going to be a little bit more money.

That's a good decision.

I know your ad says that you don't use bubble mailers, but if you decide to do it that way, you won't have to fill out a customs form.

Of course, then you'd be voiding your own ad, but I just figured I'd share that with you. I ship stuff to my In-laws in Italy all the time...

Yeah but I dont want these cards to be damaged....They are from the 40's and the 50's....

Definately charge him more for the shipping and of course have the insurance. I'm sure that he won't mind paying a few extra dollars, since he didn't read the auction properly.
My DH had this happen too and had to ship something to Greece. Everything went well though.
