Ebay Veils

Ebay Veils

I have a question for the girls who bought their veils on Ebay - how did you know that you would like it? Did you already try on a particular style and just ordered from Ebay to save money? Or did you just buy whatever you thought that you would like?

I'm asking because Macy's in NJ has c-r-a-p for veils and I checked out a bridal place in SI that also had c-r-a-p So I haven't even tried anything on that I like yet - I *think* that I want a cathedral veil with a blusher but I was never able to actually try one of those on yet....

I might visit the Thomas Knoell store - does he have any veils? Barrons? Is that close to TK and JT?

thomas knoell has them and so does barrons and they arent too far away from each other

i got mine at barrons i got a cathedral veil with a detachable blusher (im not a huge fan of two tiered veils so i wanted the blusher for the ceremony but for pictures i only wanted the cathedral (im not wearing a veil at the reception)

I got mine from ebay. Honestly, I wasn't sure if I was going to wear one at all, so I didn't want to spend a lot of money. I really liked it when it came in. I still think I am only going to wear it for the ceremony, but at least I have one...

i got mine on ebay, and honestly they are all just tulle. mine is the same exact veils that i see in bridal shops for $150+. I ordered mine from VALUE VEIL it is a 2T Cathedral length veil. I just couldnt justify spending hundreds for something i'll wear for 30mins.

I would try e-bay..but also you can look at the bridal places too! My veil was $250. But I got it free since I bought a wedding dress from my bridal place!

another question - my dress is ivory - the last wedding we went to i noticed that the brides veil looked super white next to her dress and i hated the way it looked - it didnt match at all, even my FH noticed it (and her dress didnt even look ivory, her dress looked white - but the veil was like SUPER white)....how do you know they are going to match well? i WISH macys had a better selection so i could try them on with my dress

there's also this place online
http://www.occanseydesigns.com/

i havent ordered from there...but i just emailed the lady with questions cuz the veils that i wanted in the boutiques were super expensive and took 4 months to come in and tulle is cheap and i dont think im wearing it much. this place looked like they did a lot of customized stuff for not that much.

i also saw this place
www.veilshop.com

my cousin actually got hers from davids bridal and i was surprised cuz it looked exactly like an expensive one i saw at a boutique.

I got my veil at Barrons, 40 bucks and its perfect. I didnt feel the need to spend a lot on it, I wanted something simple. Go to barrons, they are great and make it to your size...

Bought mine on ebay - since I'm only wearing it for the ceremony I did not want to spend too much $ - I'll find out this week if it matches my dress

I would def. try Barrons, they have everything there and they are such nice veils and the price is better than most salons.

Barron's is in Levittown, right off the Wantagh Parkway. Its probably 10-15 minutes from JT.

They asked me if my dress was white, diamond white, ivory or whatever. . . they will match the veil to your dress. .

They had tons of options and while I didn't think I would 'like' any veils, I actually found one that I really did like.

I would check them out.

thanks for all the recommendations - what is it called when the veil is really plain and doesnt have any edging? i think that is the kind i want - something very simple and flowy with no trim - does anyone know what im talking about?

i attached a pic - i want a veil like this but to the floor - its very plain - does it have a name? as you can tell im clueless about veil stuff

here is my veil, and it is prettier than the photos could possibly show. I tried to photograph it, but it didn't work well.
