How many girls are having an edging on yourr viel. I originally didn't want any but the guy at Barron talked me into getting a very thin edge. He said it looks unfinished without it. I am now second guessing. I think I still want it without edging and now it is to late because I am going to pick up my veil today.

I originally didn't want the edge but it just adds that extra touch. I'm sure once you put it on with your dress you'll see that it will look beautiful, if it doesn't why can't you return it? Lotsa luck!

Re: edging on veil
I got the pencil edge! I definitely wanted a finished edge on my veil... my gown is very elaborate so I couldn't get much -- the pencil edge was perfect for me.
What does your gown look like?

The edging will look great. Otherwise, it just looks like someone cut a piece of tulle and put it on a comb.

Re: edging on veil
I am also doing very faint pencil edging as my bodice is heavily beaded.
Wow.... I sound like I know what I am talking about w/ the official terms

I feel a little better now. I also have beading on the bodice and on the bottom.

Re: edging on veil
In my opinion you need edging on a veil... Had a friend comment that the $10 'bachelorette party veil' we bought her looked just like her real one (she didn't have edging on her real veil). I don't think the veil looks finished without the edge! You made the right choice!

I'm a firm believer in 'Do whatever makes You happiest!' If you want an edge, go for it, if you don't - then don't. My dress is very simple and I ended up getting a simple veil that I love to compliment it. You're wearing the veil - if you go with what your heart tells you, you can never be wrong!
