I have been to plenty of weddings by myself and I had fun. If she was a true friend, this should not have been an issue.

Yup bluegreen 08 that was her original mssg. 'I won't come if my friends can't cause I'll feel weird by myself'
So since the mssg. I sent above, she apologized and said it wasn't her intention to hurt me or burden me. She kept on saying how sorry she is and that coming to my wedding is more important than sight seeing.
I haven't responded.

Good for you! That was a great response, very well put! 'I'll see you at the church. No worries.' ?!?! Get the h*ll out of here, was that supposed to make you feel bad? You are absolutely right, sounds like this was a girls weekend in the making, and your wedding was going to be a quick stop during that weekend.

On the contrary, I do agree. I've been invited to weddings by distant friends last minute when they didn't make their minimum. She seemed nice about it. I say cut her some slack.....but that's just my opinion.
