so I'm posting what I have and I'll add the rest later.
The responsibility of the FULL review I'm passing along to Laurie or Dawnie - when I'm a guest, I try to look at everything with rose colored glasses so I don't know how objective I can be... I'll save the judgments for my own wedding review. But I agree about taking things away a little quickly...they took my only alcoholic beverage away before I finished it and since I'm limited to only 1 drink per evening out I was a little sad The food was good though. I'm not much of a food person, so it could have been terrible and I wouldn't really have cared.
Anyway, Laurie's wedding. I was honored to do a reading during the ceremony and I managed not to stutter so A+ for me. I was especially lucky to have nearly memorized it before hand, because it was the first reading of the ceremony, and I still had tears in my eyes because Laurie was so BEAUTIFUL, as you will all see for yourselves shortly, so I could barely see the reading . that and I was blinded by the bling from her jewelry! Brian bought her a gorgeous diamond necklace w/ matching earrings from Cartier as her wedding gift!
But it was her youngest ring bearer who really stole the show. He couldn't have been older than 2, but instead of being nervous or shy, as he walked down the aisle he made sure he waved at everyone in the church, on the left and the right of him!! It was the most ADORABLE thing to see!
Laurie's bo-k was all white calla lilies (my fav!) and her BMs carried burgundy callas with the MOH carrying white and burgundy callas. They were beautiful and stayed fresh througout the night. Since she didn't want floral CPs, she used silver candelabras and had votive candles and rose petals extending down the middle of the tables. Upon walking into the reception, seeing all the candles lit and the tables set gave the room a soft, romantic feel. It was beautiful and different.
As PrincessRose said, the cotton candy, the popcorn, the ice cream station and the liquers (sp?) were a hit!! It all came in just about the time where the guests usually think about going home. Instead, they all got a sugar rush and started dancing again! All in all, it was a beautiful wedding. I had a great time, I was so happy to be a part of Laurie's special day, and I got to meet another wonderful LIW bride!!
