Edited: The definition of DRAMA (Formerly a major vent)

Original post by GinaBambina08

EDITED:

Drama: Expressing differing beliefs and opinions with others in a malicious, degrading, and insulting manner.

Debate: Expressing differing beliefs and opinions with others in a respectful manner.

Let's not get the two confused

i think its totally normal to have differences of opinion and to disagree and debate a little...i dont think that equals drama at all?

that's precisely my point and that is all I wanted to say...it get's nasty when people start insulting people, and that hardly happens..

yeah if someone said 'Future Mulligan is a stupid b!tch b/c she is tipping her vendors' now that would be mean and DRAMA!

I dont' post too much because of the drama and I hate to be a pot-stirrer, but I think that this post in and of itself perpetuates the drama.

let it begin.

i'm sure it will, but unlike others, i'm not afraid of the drama...it just pisses me off when brides say 'oohhh I hate drama, I hate eels, just ignore them' and then they do exactly what they get mad at other brides for doing!

i am really honestly not trying to be mean here by saying this...but i think by you starting this thread is being contradictory. you said you are tired of people saying they hate the drama and just make a thread to say you dont agree with it as well and telling us to just ignore it and stuff....with that said

i do agree i think it is silly i just ignore the eal threads now and i do state my opinion in some threads. but i know not everyone is going to agree with me and i move on if someone doesnt. but i do like advice whether negative or positive. but honestly i am going to defend myself if someone disrespects me or any one else on this site but also if they are rude or nasty about something which tends to start drama and i belive that is why we do have alot of drama we try to defend ourselves.

plus when you got 1000+ women on one site we are going to disagree about things. and unfortunately it would be nice to agree to disagree but some people just dont get that!

that is what my problem is, maybe I need to edit my original post so that people could understand it clearer...my issue is that when people disagree with other people, it is called drama and people get mad at you for 'Starting drama' even if you express your opinion in a respectful way!

thanks Gina for making that more clear. I get what you are saying now. And I think we agree with you. I know I do. I don't think it shuold be considered drama when we voice our opinions. But unfortunately we are always going to have it on here.

Yeah I know, but it just feels like things really blew up these past couple of days...and I know its causing people to feel uncomfortable posting their true opinions..

everyone feeds into it b/c they LIKE the drama...admit it, own it and get over it! It's like watching a car wreck unfold, it's terrible but you can't help but look. People are taking this stuff waaaayyy too seriously.

Debate is one thing, insulting someone and being rude is another

I agree with that, I think drama starts when someone starts attacking someone else, but if all you're doing is disagreeing with something or voicing your opinion, why is it automatically called drama? Why is this thread 'drama'? I don't know, it's just extremely irritating to me..

its not drama, others call it drama...disagreeing is not drama but others calling it drama is what causes it to be. I didnt think it was even drama that went on today until i saw your post.

i just think it would be boring if everyone agreed on everything......i dont mind at all when people disagree with me - as long as they arent cursing me out or anything lol

I agree!

i know seriously...i mean honestly i have disagreed with ppl quite a few times on here, and i take it as that, even if we go back and forth its not like OMG why is there drama...personally i can handle it, its fine. I had ppl personally attacking me on here, write threads about me and make polls to see if others hate me, i just laughed. Honestly i think if ppl just let the disagreement stay in that one thread instead of posting a bunch of other threads about the drama in another thread it wouldn't be as bad, and let the ppl debating, arguing or whatever settle it among themselves...having a bunch of ppl enter a thread saying OMG stop, why drama doesnt help, it makes it worse...were all adults and should be able to handle confrontation or disagreements. I guarantee if ppl stopped making numerous threads about drama going on in 1 thread or stop entering a thread to say stop the drama it wouldnt be as bad
