I'm thinking of applying for a PhD program, but I have a grave fear of rejection. What do you girls think? I teach part time with my Masters... I could apply for a full time position if I were in the process of getting my doctorate... It would be a ton of work... Advice please!!

if you need reinforcement, i'll lend you my b-pics.

I'll say 'here's my application, and here are some naked photos of myself and also my friend Danielle, in case that helps.'
FYI - not willing to relocate.

Thanks girls. I'm scared. I havent even sent in anything for publication in a few years, and I feel like since I started teaching I've turned super lazy! I think its making me forget everything I've learned, but I gave a spur of the moment class today on iambic pentameter, and thought, '****, I do know this stuff!' and now I'm thinking maybe I should stop wasting time and go for it... Hm...
I love iambic pentameter! lol You should see me teaching my 7th graders about it....they think I'm nuts!
I made my freshman comp students write a six line stanza today and read it aloud. SOOOOO funny.

I have to do a little research. SB has a good program, but I got my BA & MA there. I've heard they don't accept a lot of their 'own.'
