How is your family planning on handling elderly relatives who may not live near LI? For example, I have a grandma in FL who cannot walk without a walker, and cannot really walk for long distances. She really wants to come up for the wedding, but my family is not sure what to do about it. Is this stuff happening to anyone else?
I would of course love to have her there but not if it means she could get injured!

good question- I have an elderly grandpa and my FH's parents and much family are elderly too (think parents will be ok). I think their health and safety is most imp't thing so will invite but understand who cannot make it for physical/health reasons

2 of my grandparents are in bad shape as far as getting around on their own so Im pretty sure my uncle or aunt will be getting them to and from during the wedding

FH has a great aunt who is in good health but in Florida. Not sure if she is coming to our wedding. I think that's a long trip for someone who is 85, ya know?

My only grandparent-my moms mom- is 86 and lives in NJ. Although she wants to be at the wedding, she just cant sit in the car for the 4 hr drive to LI. So sadly, she wont be there physically but she will be there in spirit. I know that shes upset bc FH is the only boyfriend Ive ever had that she actually likes!!! She met him in HS when we were dating and now she refers to him as her boyfriend.
