Re: Electric Slide...do we dare?
that is the only organized dance song we will have and it is only because it is my mother's favorite.

I know some people are against these types of songs... But i love it... my fave is the electric slide. It will definitely be at the wedding!
ditto! And it was at our wedding.
I too 'hated' it - but realized that whenever it comes on at a wedding - I am one of the FIRST ones out there.
Young, old - everyone gets into it...

Re: Electric Slide...do we dare?
depends on what kind of crowd you have i guess...i personally love the group dance songs....i had them at mine and it was a blast....i had a mix of guests from 12-88 and they all got up for the goup dances even if they didnt know them and it was a ton of fun watching them try!!

Re: Electric Slide...do we dare?
There will be no organized dances at my wedding (besides the Tarantella of course). I was never a fan of them, so I voted 'Cheesy'. Sorry!

I did not have it...I really dont like it and find that it actually clears the dance floor (depends on the age I guess)...but NO!

Me too !
Unfortunately, I have to suck it up and play the chicken dance too b/c my 4 yr twin cousins/flowergirls have been practicing and honestly the look on their face when they are doing it is worth listening to every second of that stupid song.

Do you dare? No you do not! :) Haha kidding... do it if you like it. I'm against all forms of line dancing. ie: cotton eyed joe, conga, and yes - the electric slide!

Re: Electric Slide...do we dare?
I'm actually requesting it. my cousin, who is also a BM has always been OBSESSED with the electric slide...so at every function i request it for her bc she's too embarassed to request it. so I'm dedicating it to her.
ETA: i too am against all forms of line dancing...i hate the conga, cha cha slide, cotton eyed joe and all the other cliche wedding songs...but for the sake of seeing my cousin jump up for joy at the sound of 'YOU CANNNNNN FEEEEEEEEEEEL IT...IT'S ELECTRIC!' It is totally worth it

I'm fine with it. The two that won't be played are the chicken dance and macarena.

Re: Electric Slide...do we dare?
I can't decide between the electric slide and the Cha Cha one.... The adults would know the electric slide more than the Cha Cha.
