Electronics on Registry?
Is anyone putting electronics on their registry? FH and I are thinking about an Amazon registry. If you are, what types of electronics are you putting on it? Do you think it is tacky? Help!

Re: Electronics on Registry?
I don't think it's tacky. Put whatever you want on there! Someone may purchase it and it not then you can always get it afterward - most places give you a deal on the leftover items.

Re: Electronics on Registry?
I made a registry at Target and put some electronics on it, i figure its fun items and that some people will buy them for us because they are not the usual registry items

We have an Amazon registry! FH insisted on it.We have a digital camera and all of the accessories on it. We also had a Wii Fit on it, but I took it off b/c FH bought it for me instead.

I don't see anything wrong with it. We haven't registered yet but I'm sure FH will want to put some electronics on the registry.

Re: Electronics on Registry?
I think FH would like to put a few on the registry. It gives people options, if someone doesn't like it they don't need to buy it for you! Plus, like stated above, some stores give you discounts on what was not purchased from your registry.

Re: Electronics on Registry?
There is nothing wrong with an Amazon registry... they are great. And adding electronics is another great idea, we will prob register for a few items ourselves.

I don't think it's tacky at all. If people don't want to buy electronics, then they can select another item.

Do you think people will actually go to the Amazon registry. I have BBB and Macys right now. But, we're thinking of moving the Macys registry to Amazon and adding more stuff, because Macys really doesn't have much of what we want.

Re: Electronics on Registry?
People will DEFINITELY buy from Amazon. FH's cousin bought us our George Foreman Grill off our Amazon registry for our e-party. It'll probably be mostly people from your younger crowds (the older generations generally don't like online shopping), but nonetheless, people will buy from it. And it's great b/c a lot of the items are free shipping. As long as you let people know that you're registered there, people will buy from it. You can even order the registry cards from Amazon to put in with the bridal shower invitations.

That's exactly what I figured. Thank you!
