Elegancia DJ Brides.........

you haven't even the slightest idea of how big their fan base is here on LIW...def bump this for the morning girlies and you'll hear rave reviews

i booked them a year ago

welll....you know i am elegancia's #1 fan! if any of you go to the showcase, make sure you tell them that Melissa & Pete the cop say hi and we're getting their TY card out soon! they know how much we adore them.

if you have, or are considering booking them---definitely check out the showcase. cause Jose (the owner) VERY RARELY does them. the reason why he is not a fan of doing showcases, is because when you go to a DJ showcase, a lot of times the DJs are all talking and 'pumping' up the crowd and stuff. like 'What's up everybody i'm DJ Scratch and Sniff and here is our crew!' and then they proceed to be on the mic talking, joking around, trying to amp the crowd, maybe even dancing and being silly.

jose HATES that stuff, because for their company its about the music, not the amount an MC can hear the sound of his voice. so for that reason, his company doesn't bother with showcases too much, cause they don't do the jumping around and crowd stuff. (i mean they can if you want them to, but they prefer to not do it.) the musician showcase is great, cause you can hear how amazing the ppl sound! (if you haven't done so, i would seriously consider booking a percussionist to go along with the DJ! it sounded AWESOME!)

I'm so glad they are doing our wedding. Jose is our MC, too!
Next week should be fun. I want to see some of their musicians, in case we decide to add to our package. And it will be nice to see some LIW brides!

Hi!
Jose was our MC--and there was another guy with Louie who was our DJ. Then we had a percussionist added to the package, for the reception. He played right along with DJ, and it gave this amazing full sound.

I kid you not, that alot of our guests said that when they came in, and heard the music---they actually thought we had a real band for minute. the percussionist gave that much of a more real genuine sound! i am not exaggerating when i say that almost every, single, guest....came up to us at some point and said 'omg your DJ is just amazing' between the music, percussionist, intelligent lighting, and the unbelievable perimeter lighting that we added at the last minute. (thanks jess! ) ppl couldn't stop raving about them.

omg i am NOT a fan of the MC's jumping around like jackassses! that's why i was happy we did NOT have that for our wedding

we weren't really 'plasma screen' people. DH and i opted to not have that. since we used the perimeter lighting, i felt that was enough of an effect on its own w/o the screens. but that's just us!

I KNOW! I hate when the MC is in everyone's face the whole night. I feel like telling them 'hello, this is not american idol'


I heard the perimeter lighting is nice, but we didn't choose that. We be visual people and went for the screens.
