My friend just moved here from FLorida and is desperately seeking an elementary ed position. She has 11 years teaching in the Catholic school system in Florida and is wiling to work anywhere on Long Island (maybe even nyc??) Anyone know of anyone hiring? I don't know much about finding teraching jobs as I'm in a VERY different field. Just thought someone may have some tips or advice?? She is also trying private schools and CAtholic schools but is concerned because of the salaries being a lot lower but at this point who knows...she only has a month to find something!!!! Any advice appreciated ....THANKS!!!!

Re: Elementary Ed Jobs, anywhere?
I know that my son's school had 3 or 4 teachers retire, I'm not sure if the positions have been filled or not, but I guess it's worth a shot!! He's in the Comsewogue School District (Port Jeff Station)

Re: Elementary Ed Jobs, anywhere?
its very difficult to get a job on long island... have her research some areas of districts she would be interested in and have her walk in her resume. ive posted this before. im an elementary teacher and the summer mail sits around sometimes until the end of september!!!!
