I think you have to take the multi-subject CST.

She may not be eligible for permanent certification. Now you have to do professional cert which means no video and 175 hours of PD every 5 years.

Thanks - the whole reciprocity thing is driving me nuts. Why I have to pay double to take essentially the same 3 tests is beyond me.

I wont be elligible until I pass the three tests....then I can work towards it. So I want to try and get them done before even coming to NY.

The ATS-P is no longer required for the Professional license.

I was so excited when I heard about the no video change. To be honest the tests are not that bad. I know a few of my friends had to take it several times to pass, but if you actually review some of the concepts, you'll breeze through it. Good Luck.

there is no such thing as a permanent certification anymore...you do not have to do a video, instead you have to send in paperwork every 5 years and if you dont you will lose your certification

really? wow, that freakin *****

I was lucky -- I got permanent reading K-12 in 2003 before they switched over to the specific age catagories.

175 hours of PD is insane if it's not 'in house'.
