Elliptical Workout Machines - Suggestions?

I threw the idea of getting a workout machine for my apartment that both me and my fiance can use. When I said that to her.... her eyes LIT UP like she really wanted one. I am thinking of an elliptical machine since it would be 'quieter' for the downstairs neighbors than stomping on a treadmill.

We have a 2br apartment and could put the machine in the 2nd bedroom for now.

I take martial arts and work out twice a week... but she doesnt work out at all. We both could use to drop a few pounds before the wedding.

Does anyone have an idea on how much these things cost? I would want something decent... but it doesn't have to be insanely expensive or advanced either. Where is the best place to buy one where I can get the best deal?

I think my FW would be pleasantly surprised (and happy) if I came home with one. I could use the additional workout myself as well since some days I feel like a 'fat bastid'.

Well quite honestly... if I am the only one that ever uses it... thats fine too. I really dont care. We are just both honest with each other.

I am testing for black belt in November... and I could use the additional workout. My legs have been in bad shape for weeks. They were in much better shape when I was doing the gym (cardio) along with the martial arts last year.

I am going to try to find a used one on craigslist or ebay. It seems like workout gear is greatly discounted when buying used.

If anyone has one for sale... let me know via FM. I may be interested.
