Elopements

Any thoughts on eloping?
I would prefer to elope rather than have a traditional wedding but i'm getting a lot of flak about it. I'm 40 and my boyfriend is 44. My first marriage his second.

It most def ran through our minds.. def if we were older or if we weren't as close to our families, we'd def do it..

we were also thinking of doing a destination wedding.. but again the fact that our families are soo big, we decided against it....

All I can suggest is that you make sure that 100% of you wants to do this.. In my case, I didn't want to do something where years down the road I'd be regretting not having something more traditional..

If you're families aren't too big, I def suggest you do a destination wedding.. there are soo many dif, exotic places you can go to and it's wonderful.. you can also do a cruise ship wedding too..

I'm rambling but to get to mypoint, all in all, it's YOUR wedding.. You plan and do as you want!

We thought alot about this as well. This is my second marriage and his first so i really didn't want to do the big poofy dress and 10 piece band again, so we comprimized...We're getting married at Disney with our immediate family and then having a more informal reception for extended family and friends at the Three Village Inn when we return from our honeymoon.

It's your wedding so do what you think you and your FI will enjoy!!! Happy planning what ever you decide
