Ok soooo I don't think you can tell from the pictures in my album, but the setting of my engagement ring is very different. People always think it is two separate rings when they see it because it is very high and has diamonds on the inner sides(front and back) as well as on the actual band. Too confusing to explain, I will just have to take a picture. ANYWAYYYYY,
I have a feeling I am going to have to get something custom made. Can anyone tell me about their experience with Elsa as well as their pricing. Are they very expensive?? Would you recommend someone else?

Re: Elsa Jewelers
I had them do work on my e-ring before last christmas. The work is all right but the people there aren't so great. Be prepared to spend more then what they tell you. Stephan loves to speak in estimates. We thought we were paying this amount and when my FH went to pick the ring up they upped the price - just because. I even took off half a day to sit there and watch them work on it.
my ring still doesn't fit correctly. I'm waiting closer to the wedding to get my ring fixed again.
In my honest opinion I would try somewhere else I would recommend someone, but I don't want to start drama. (they are another vendor on LIW)
(sorry I meant to post this on the 2011board)

Re: Elsa Jewelers
I'm getting my wedding band custom made by Elsa. I gave them the price I was willing to pay for the band, and they said they would work within my budget. It's not cheap cause the work is custom HOWEVER it's based on what you are willing to pay. you an add diamonds and such as you see fit. I'm going to my 1st wax mold on aug 4th.
I really dont have a choice, i've looked EVERYWHERE and I can't find a band that matches the antique setting of my ring.

Re: Elsa Jewelers
hmmm, i had a very different experience with them.
everyone we talked to was super nice to us. elsa came in after she broke her foot to resize my ring after i got engaged. when i came in without FH with my ring they started talking about FH and asking how he decided to propose! they remembered him just by looking at the ring.
i didn't work with elsa much (except to have my ring resized), but FH was there quite a bit having my ering made. he said he loved everyone there, they always remembered him and were really friendly when he came in.
i don't know about their prices since FH bought my ring and I didn't see the receipt, but FH thought it was reasonable based on the fact that the ring was custom made. I plan on going there for our wedding bands and can give you more feedback once we go in for that.
sorry everyone else had such a crummy experience with them!! that totally stinks.

Re: Elsa Jewelers
your ring looks a lot like mine. i havbe pics in my album, the ones from the website are much better than anything i took. who makes your ring? if its similar enough to mine, you can check out the verragio website and see if something matches without having to go custom

Ahhhh your ring is beautiful! I see what you mean about them being similar. My side diamonds are a little higher so I think that is where I am really going to have an issue. FH had it made through Fire In Ice Design. I will check out Verragio, thank you!!

Re: Elsa Jewelers
My engagement ring was custom made at Busy Bee on SunriseHwy in Massapequa (it's not a flea market it's a regualr jewelery store). They did amazing work and my Fiance said Gary was great to work with.
